Guildford is in light rain at 12°C this hour, with a 16°C high, and South Western Railway is showing good service.
On Friday 16 October 2026 the first useful check is the Met Office page for the town you are standing in, then the National Rail operator board, then the council notice for that street. Figures below were read from those pages on this morning. If a live page has moved on, the live page is the one to follow. Today's edition is where a sourced local story is written up.

The weather page is the local index of those desks.
The rail board before you leave
The National Rail operator board shows South Western Railway, Southern and Thameslink as good service. Great Western Railway is marked disruption on some routes. The unplanned incidents on that page are taxis replacing trains between Liskeard and Looe until about 13:00, and a reduced service between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton expected until 11:30.
Station boards are the place for a single train. Open Guildford, Woking, Weybridge, Esher, Epsom, Reigate and Leatherhead. Wider disruption text sits on the National Rail disruptions page. South Western Railway's own journey page is plan my journey.
Roads are a separate desk. Use Surrey County Council roads and transport, the roadworks and maintenance page, and the one.network Surrey map for a closure or diversion. The travel page lists these desks together.
